The Beacon Board of Directors received a presentation on the completion of Phase 2 of the Surfers Point Living Shoreline and Managed Retreat Project in Ventura. The project is managed by the City of Ventura, in cooperation with the Ventura County Fairgrounds, and with the assistance of Beacon and the Surfrider Foundation. Funding for Phase 2 Final Planning and Engineering was provided by the CA Ocean Protection Council. Funding for Phase 2 Construction was provided by the CA Coastal Conservancy. The presentation was provided by Mr. Matt Maechler, representing the City of Ventura.
