Santa Barbara County Flood Control District is pleased to announce the BeachSMART Draft Alternatives and Feasibility Report is now available. This draft document evaluates potential beach-receiver sites and watershed management strategies for beneficial sediment re-use. We invite public comments and feedback. Several community forums have been scheduled over the next few weeks to continue the conversation; find locations, dates, and time here and in the links below this message.

More opportunities will be available for feedback through Fall 2026. Comments and questions may be submitted to beachsmart@countyofsb.org. The team can be available for discussion sessions on request.
