BEACON is excited to announce the scheduling of the third meeting between Managers and Scientists. This important annual meeting has several complimentary goals, including: continuing BEACON’s series of annual meetings between managers and scientists; providing both formal and informal opportunities for information and knowledge exchange; providing an opportunity for managers and scientists to review progress on BEACONs Science Research Agenda initiatives; and providing an opportunity for managers and scientists to review and discuss New and Emerging Research and Policy needs. This will be the first opportunity for the managers and scientists to engage face-to-face in person.

A important part  of the Summit will be an afternoon field visit to the Surfers Point project to interact with science, technical, and management staff to learn about the many features of the innovative demonstration Living Shoreline and Managed Retreat Project.

The all day Summit to be held in Ventura at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Tuesday, November 28th, has been scheduled in conjunction with the H2O Headwaters to Ocean Conference, also to be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel immediately following the Beacon Manager-Scientist Summit on Wednesday and Thursday, November 29th and 30th.
