The Beach Erosion Authority for Clean Oceans and Nourishment
(BEACON) has released the Final Draft Regional Coastal Adaptation Monitoring Program (RCAMP) Monitoring Plan.
The purpose of RCAMP is to provide consistent data and analysis to support local government agencies and resource managers conducting coastal resilience planning and implementation in the BEACON region.
The Monitoring Plan outlines a strategic framework to address essential regional monitoring and analysis needs, including physical, ecological, environmental, and social topics. The Monitoring Plan also recommends pilot studies and next steps to further implement the RCAMP.
BEACON sought review and comments on the Draft Monitoring Plan from agency staff, interested stakeholders, representatives of the Chumash tribes, and members of the public. This Final Draft incorporates responses to the comments received.
